Toddlers

Welcome to the toddler program! We are excited and eager to be sharing this learning journey with you and your family!  It is a privilege and honor to watch and be a part of your child’s growth and development over the next 1-2 years.

The toddler program is for children ages 18 months thru 3 ½ years old. There are many benefits and successes of a multi-aged group and we find the age range to be hugely rewarding for both the children and teachers alike.

It’s an exciting time to play a role in your children’s growth - from being a young toddler to preparing them for the preschool/pre-k classroom.

The main goal of the toddler program is to teach and encourage many skills such as: self-help skills, social emotional skills, encouraging growth in language development, assistance in toilet training, and other daily interactions.

A lot of these skills are modeled and learned through hands-on activities and through free play. “Children learn the best through play” is our motto!

Our first priority is always that children are safe, both physically and emotionally, while working hard to have a FUN and wonder filled learning environment with as many nature inspired materials as we can possibly incorporate.

Some of our nature inspired materials include pinecones, tree cookies, corks, rocks, sand, small and large wooden building blocks and more. We also have a large climbing structure inside our program that enables the toddlers to use their “big bodies” and muscles to climb, crawl, jump, and navigate stairs safely.

We create a safe environment for both children and families to grow together within our program. We use a combination of theme units, emergent curriculum, and nature when we plan our academic year throughout the whole center.

Children learn the best through play!

Many of the policies and rules we have in place for the program, whether for the child or for the actual program, have their foundation in the NH Child Care Licensing Regulations.

This means some things we MUST do because they are required by the state. Doing otherwise leaves our program potentially jeopardizing the health and safety of children.

We follow all regulations set forth for optimal safety and learning of all children in our care.
